WAIT WHAT?

• AKIBAN 2 is fully paid and permits done (unless i get a food vendor)
• The event is still free to the public
• Vendors can email me directly at [email protected] to show interest
• The charity status is taking its time due to scheduling and health conflicts. I’m also to stubborn to dismantle my LLC so i can remake it a Charity quick and easy.
• I have a few things that i am willing to hire for part time support (1-3 hours a week)
  • website creation/up keep
  • social media manager
• I do not want to use AI… or let AI be used in creating anything I am working on.
• Hosting events, even small ones like AKIBAN, starts around $6k per event. This is all out of my pocket, and I am spending more energy trying to make that the behinds the scenes is taken care of than is the website and socials pretty.

Wait, so what happened aki-ban.org?

On July 1st I got a notification that there was a critical error on my page.
When i tried to do a restore, it was still broken

When I tried to disable the plug ins (because that was the recommendation) I got errors

I was already upset due to other things and when my internet, website, phone, and computer start to glitch, I have to walk away. _{computers have caught on fire around me when i tried to tough it out.}

I have tried a few times since then, and the toggles didn’t work. Today I opened up the actual files only to realize that a very important file was missing, and for some reason, the website was refusing to make it.

…. i couldn’t even open up the website to work on it, this was looking at the admin level php files, which thankfully i can read, even if me touching them does nothing. ^{that’s not how it works.} _{i know but thats how it works around me now hush.}

So I deleted all the content from the site… i am very sure that all the pictures are saved on one of three devices that I own, if not, i have the physical copies of said photos in a book.

Wait, so what happens next to the site?

That is a really good question that i don’t have an answer for right now.

I have a handful of things stressing me out on my side of the screen, I might focus more posting to Patreon (which i honestly should be doing) than the site.

I do have hopes and plans for this place, but i think hiring someone might be the right answer… but until then, there is patreon, bluesky, and discord. I suppose the book of faces, links should be at the top and bottom of the screen!
